Industry & Pharmaceutical Collaborations

New England Pathology Associates (NEPA) has participated in a number of past and on-going collaborations with notable international leaders in women’s health, health care technology, and pharmaceutical and immunohistochemical investigations.

Major companies such as Hologic, Inc. (Marlborough, Massachusetts) and Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS; Princeton, New Jersey) have developed consulting and laboratory service agreements with NEPA and its co-owned cytology/histology laboratories (LifePath Partners).

NEPA’s gynecologic pathologists and LifePath Partners have served as a Pap test study and trial site, investigating new and improved Pap test technology.

NEPA, LifePath Partners and BMS have a long-standing relationship for both professional and laboratory services, with BMS utilizing NEPA’s subspecialized pathologists as diagnostic experts in histopathology, cytopathology and immunohistochemical and in-situ hybridization stain scoring and interpretation. LifePath Partners provides technical expertise, under the medical directorship and supervision of NEPA pathologists.
